Solace St.

Every Artwork Makes a Difference

This original artwork was hand-painted by Jason Strozkiy and is completely one of a kind. No two pieces created will ever be exactly the same.

The Story Behind This Artwork

Every artwork I create, I am trying to challenge myself in different ways and that is exactly what Solace St. is. A challenge. It is my second attempt at a street scape style painting (I gave up on the first one =|)

I love the idea of perspective and have found it really tough to get absolutely right. I wanted to explore the two different worlds, the busy bustling city life and then right across the road, an empty park where nature reigns supreme. Chaos vs Calm. Each has its pro's and cons but I know which one I would choose.

Painting has been a retreat for me over the past few months. Somewhere to take solace and not think about anything other than what colour to use next. Solace St. was suggested to me on an instagram post I did. It connected immediately and I think sums up everything about this painting so perfectly.

🧡 More Than Just Artwork

Our son Sonny was diagnosed with CLN2 Batten disease at just two years old. My wife Sarah and I created Sonny’s Canvases as a way to share our family’s story, raise awareness and help support Sonny’s journey and our search for future treatment.

Every artwork sold means so much to our family. When you bring one into your home, you’re becoming part of something much bigger than art.
