🧡 Our Story
Some of life's hardest moments have a way of changing everything.
For us, that moment came when our beautiful little boy, Sonny, was diagnosed with CLN2 Batten disease. It's a rare, terminal neurodegenerative condition with no cure.
In the weeks that followed, life stood still.
We found ourselves searching for something... anything... that could bring a little peace into days that suddenly felt so uncertain.
So we picked up a paintbrush.
Neither of us imagined that painting would become more than a creative outlet. It simply became our way of slowing down, spending time together, and finding small moments of joy as a family.
To our surprise, what began as healing, quickly became something much bigger.
Friends started asking to buy our artwork. Then strangers did too.
That's how Sonny's Canvases was born.
Every original painting begins with creativity and is inspired by the hope, warmth and beauty we're choosing to hold onto, even through life's hardest seasons. From those originals, we create museum-quality fine art prints so more homes can enjoy the artwork while helping support our family.
Every purchase helps fund Sonny's ongoing care and future treatment, but it also reminds us that kindness exists in the most incredible ways.
