This original artwork was hand-painted by Jason Strozkiy and is completely one of a kind. No two pieces created will ever be exactly the same.

The Story Behind This Artwork

I originally created Emergence as a commissioned artwork, working from a colour palette of blues, aquas, greys, blacks, whites and earthy browns. Beyond that, I was given plenty of creative freedom to see where the piece would take me.

My original idea was to create strong lines coming from the centre, with light shining through them. But as the painting developed, I decided to soften the lines, giving the piece more of a cloud-like, ocean-wave feel.

I honestly think it turned out even better than I first imagined. It feels powerful and calming at the same time, and everyone seems to see something a little different within it.

The original now hangs in the home it was specially created for, but with the owner’s kind permission, Emergence is also available as a fine art print for others to enjoy.

🧡 More Than Just Artwork

Our son Sonny was diagnosed with CLN2 Batten disease at just two years old. My wife Sarah and I created Sonny’s Canvases as a way to share our family’s story, raise awareness and help support Sonny’s journey and our search for future treatment.

Every artwork sold means so much to our family. When you bring one into your home, you’re becoming part of something much bigger than art.
